Janice Earline Vines

Janice Earline Vines, 81, of Diana, TX went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 22, 2024, at home with her family by her side. She was born on November 21, 1942, in Corpus Christi, TX to Johnny Dwight and Essie Mae (Meador) Martin.

 She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. Janice treasured her family and was a selfless and devoted person who cherished life. She was kind to all and never met a stranger. Her laugh was contagious and made everyone smile. Janice loved working outside gardening and growing flowers.

 Janice is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James Vines; daughters, Crystal Steiniger and husband Danny of Harleton, Ida Vines of Lubbock; son, Cory Vines and wife Andrea of Diana; brother, David Meador and wife Cathy of Eldorado; sister in law, Rita Meador of Eldorado; brother in law, David Vines of Longview; sister in law, Priscilla Teeas of Hallsville; brother in law and sister in law, Steven and Jeri Vines of El Paso; along with 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Essie Meador; infant daughter, Angela Dawn Vines; brother, John Edward Meador; sister-in-law, Cathy Vines; grandson, Norman Steiniger; brother-in-law, James Teeas.

 The family would like to thank Peace Fellowship and church family, as well as Alinea Family Hospice Care and staff for each and everyone’s love and support.

 Services for Janice will be held at Peace Fellowship Church on Saturday, September 14, 2024, starting at 10:30 AM.
