Janice Meadows Howell

Funeral service for Mrs. Janice Meadows Howell, 78, of Gilmer, TX will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer with Bro. Marion Palmer officiating, interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Howell passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in Longview, TX.

Janice was born May 12, 1941, in Longview, TX to Bertha (Chamberlain) and Raymond Meadows. She worked for both Pine Tree and Gilmer ISD. Janice was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer where she was a part of the Agape Sunday School Class and volunteered her time to the Jail Ministry.

Janice is survived by her husband, Jerry Howell of Gilmer; sons, Mark Howell and his wife, Jackie of Hallsville, Ronnie Howell and his wife, Michele of Rockwall; daughter, Kerrie Melton and her husband, Kyle of Gilmer; brother, Carl Meadows and his wife, Kathy of Longview; grandchildren, Jordan Howell and his wife, Ashleigh, Meaghan Raugust and her husband, Ryan, Mackenzie Thompson and her husband, Will, Johnathan Melton, and Hunter Melton; and great grandchildren, Kinsleigh Howell, Jackson William Scott Howell, Ellie Howell, Harper Ryan Raugust, and Hudson Raugust.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, John Rayme Howell.
