Janet Gayle McClain, 74, of Harleton passed away in Longview on Thursday, May 11, 2023.  Graveside services for Mrs. McClain will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 am at Piney Cemetery in Harleton with Pastor Curtis  Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.

Janet was born September 2, 1948, in McAllister, Oklahoma to the late Gilbert Houston Blevins and Rosella Hughes Blevins.  She worked as a seamstress for many years before dedicating herself as a caretaker and homemaker.  Janet was a Christian and was plain spoken; always telling you her opinion no matter the situation.  She was devoted to her family and was always willing to help anyone in need.  Janet will be dearly missed by the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by her son Glenn Chapman and wife Gayna; daughter Katrina LeAnn Barrios and husband Eliseo; brother Sonny Dale Blevins; grandchildren John Soap and wife Savannah, Joshua Ruiz, Jacob Ruiz, Tatiana Badillo and Josiah Alvarado; great grandchildren Adrianna Soap, Abigail Soap and Aiden Ruiz as well as many other loving family and friends.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents and husband Oran Kelso McClain, Jr. who passed in 2021.
