Funeral services for Janet Calvert Williams, 57, will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Gilmer Church of Christ in Gilmer with John Richard Spencer and Allen Calvert officiating. Interment will be in Simpsonville Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Williams passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 in a Houston hospital. Mrs. Williams was born October 22, 1956 in Pittsburg, TX to Frank and Dixie Louise Henry Calvert. She was the Upshur County Librarian for 25 years and a member of the Gilmer Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Matthew Williams and wife, Kristen of Hallsville; mother, Dixie Calvert of Gilmer; brothers, David A. Calvert and wife Patsy and Tony Calvert and wife LeAnn both of Gilmer; sister, Elaine Calvert Davis of Ore City; and grandchild, Maddox Williams. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashlye Thorpe and her father, Frank Calvert. Pallbearers will be Danny Hurt, Trent Hurt, Kevin Hurt, Kollin Hurt, Van Duffey, Juston Glenn and Bryant Morrell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe David Henry, Steve Barnes and Gene Robinson. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
