Jamie Tucker Hughes

A praise and worship service to honor the life of Jamie Tucker Hughes will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Power in Pritchett with Mark Huffines and Charles Johnson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on July 1, 1948, in Gilmer, Texas, she went home to be with her Lord peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at her home in Big Sandy. She was an avid gardener and artist as well as a teacher"s aide at Harmony schools where she was loved by all her students. She is survived by her husband, Tom Hughes of Big Sandy; children, Jimmie and Lacey Rhodes, Tasha and Mike Wiginton, Sandy and Ted Collier, Morgan Hawley; and her greatest joy"12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister, Keilah Wall; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dene Tucker, and her brother, Tommy Robertson. If so desired, the family requests that donations be made to Gideons International. No visitation is scheduled.
