Funeral services for Jamie Love South, 65, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Alan Metzel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. South passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. South was born September 28, 1947 in Freemont, MI to Robert Glen and Charlotte Carr Smith. She retired after 27 years as a teacher with Harmony ISD and was a member of the Chapel in the Woods Christian Fellowship. She is survived by her husband, Ron South of Soules Chapel; daughter, Heather Smith of Austin; step-sons and spouses, Brian Allen and Melissa South of Quitman and Byron Charles and Lana South of Big Sandy; mother, Charlotte Floyd of Soules Chapel; mother-in-law, Monte Irwin of Gilmer; sisters, Melody Merritt of Florida; Gail Ceconi of Soules Chapel; grandchildren, Hannah Lynn South, Tanner Charles South, Pate Owen South and Porter Grady South; niece and nephew, Carson and Alaina Fleet; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by step-daughter, Melinda South; grandchild, Regan Brooke South; and nephew, Keaton Fleet. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
