James William Twilla, Jr.

Funeral services for James William Twilla, Jr., 48, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. David Mayhan and Pastor Wayne Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherokee Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Twilla passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013at his residence. James was born on September 30, 1965 in Memphis, Tennessee to James William Twilla, Sr. and Elizabeth Jeanne Wilson Twilla. He was a Department of Transportation (DOT) Inspector with J and J Enterprise (which he and his father were co-owners). He was a Mason and a member of the Woodland Baptist Church. Mr. Twilla is survived by his parents, James and Patricia Twilla; brothers, Johnnie Ross Goode and Kevin Ray Jones; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Twilla on November 22, 2011. The pallbearers for his service will be Mark Twilla, Mike Jones, Charles Jones, Johnnie Goode, Joel Morris and Steve Bouknight. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
