James Wilbern Patterson, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. James Wilbern Patterson, Sr., age 65, of Hawkins, will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 10:00 AM at the First Assembly of God in Hawkins with Rev. Don Majors and Rev. Jeff Karlson officiating. Interment to follow service at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Patterson passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Hawkins.
James was born in Overton, TX on May 29, 1952 to Jesse and Patricia Patterson. He married the love of his life, Earline Marie Rogers in Kilgore, TX on October 22, 1976. He was a hard and dedicated worker for the oil field where he was a commercial transport driver, James also proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching movies and fishing in his spare time and was the Youth Minister at First Assembly of God where he was also a faithful member. James was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Earline Marie Patterson; children, Jim Patterson, Stephanie Wright, Melissa Self, Gavin Lara, Brenda Peeples, Jamie Rogers, Teresa Smith, and Patricia Weldon; two brothers, Mike and Donny Patterson; three sisters, Nancy Eitson, Pamela Sims, and Starla Myers; eighteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
