James W. Manley

Funeral services for James W. Manley, 77, will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenneth Manley officiating. Interment will be in Grice Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Manley passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 in Gilmer. Mr. Manley was born January 23, 1936 in Camp County to Charlie and Allie Mae Williams Manley. He retired after 42 years as a mechanical engineer with General Electrodynamics and was a United States Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Manley of Gilmer; sons and daughter-in-law, David Manley of Mt. Pleasant and Bro. Kenneth and Phyllis Manley of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Alan Adams of Gilmer; brothers and sister-in-laws, Doyle and Joy Manley of Ore City, Fred Manley of Holly Lake and Richard and Kay Manley of Lafayette; sister Shirley Simms of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Jeremiah Manley, Jennifer Threlfall, Emily Krus, Justin Manley, Erin Manley, Allison Adams and Cooper Adams; great-grandchildren, Austin Manley, Colton Manley, Tyler Manley and Cameron Manley. Pallbearers will be Greg Davidson, Todd Davidson, Ray Davidson, Seth Walker, Daniel Medina and Roy Miller. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
