James Travis “J.T.” Hudspeth
DIANA: Services for James Travis Hudspeth, 84, of Ore City will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 1, 2017 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel, with Reverend David Williamson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will follow at Ore City Cemetery. He passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home.
J.T. was born May 10, 1933 in Ore City, Texas to Travis and Estelle Hudspeth. He served in the U.S. Army where he was a veteran of the Korean War and was married to Barbara Ann Myers, who preceded him in death on August 26, 2015. He worked as a chemical engineer at Monsanto and was of the Methodist faith. He is remembered for his love for fishing, farming and family, serving on the Ore City School Board and on the Ore City Cemetery Board of Directors.
J.T. is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Ronald T. Hudspeth and Debra of Ore City, daughter: Debra Ann Hudspeth Press of Ore City, and grandchildren Jason Travis Hudspeth and Cody Travis Hudspeth of Ore City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, Larry and Royce Hudspeth, and sisters, Barbra Ann Landrum and Peggy Sue Davis.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 30, 2017, 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
