James Edwin Teasley

James E. Teasley was born April 15, 1928, to J. C. Teasley and Lola Downs Teasley. "Ed", as many of his friends called him, graduated from Union Grove High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War as a Military Police Officer.

After returning home, Ed went to work for Humble Oil and later Exxon as an electrician. He met and later married Barbara Woods on October 12, 1957. They moved to Kingsville, Texas, in 1959, and returned home to Gladewater in 1990. Ed enjoyed sports, especially football and the Cowboys. he also enjoyed motorcycles and shooting pool.

Ed went home to his Lord on April 6, 2025, at the age of 96.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a brother and sister-in-law.

Survivors include his sons Eddie and wife, Cindie, Mark and wife, Monica; grandchildren, Jamie Wardlow, Jena Duffield, Cheyenne Teasley; and many great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 11, 2025, at Rosedale Cemetery in Gladewater.
