James Royde "Sonny" Dupree

Diana, Texas- Graveside service for James Royde "Sonny" Dupree, age 74 of Diana, TX, will be held at 10:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Ashland Cemetery in Diana, Texas. Charles Dupree will officiate the service.

Sonny was born on March 16, 1943 in Ft. Benning, GA to the late Royde Strauss and Inez Susie Ann Posey Dupree. Sonny passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at West Carroll Care Center of Oak Grove, LA. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James Richard Dupree and Linda of Pioneer, LA; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Masters and James of West Monroe, LA; sister, Dot Riddle of Seattle, WA; brother, Frank Dekker of Virgina; daughter, Sylvia Denis Dupree of Dallas, TX and one grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Royde Strauss Dupree and Inez Susie Ann Posey; son, Carl Wayne Dupree; sister, Bernice Hartley; brother, Claude Earl Woolsey; brother, Donald Woolsey; sister, Nona Dupree; sister, Denell Hartley; brother, Stanley Dupree; brother, Richard Dekker; brother, Edward Dekker and brother, Gary Dekker.
