James Rondal "Ronnie" Spencer

Services for James Rondal "Ronnie" Spencer, 68, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Soules Chapel United Methodist Church in Upshur County, Texas with Reverend Charles Hunt and Reverend Tim Ruland officiating. Burial will follow at Soules Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Spencer passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 in Gilmer. He was born on March 18, 1943, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Rondal Washington Spencer and Janie Pauline Winn Spencer. Mr. Spencer served in the U. S. Army, was an Oil Field Welder and a member of Soules Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and CB radios. Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife, Maxine Spencer, of Gilmer, sons and daughter-in-law, Paul and Leann Spencer of Hallsville, Jay Spencer of Rowlett, Mickey Spencer of Gilmer; grandchildren, Shelbie Spencer, Sean Spencer, Luke Spencer and Breanna Spencer and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robbie Spencer and grandson, Joshua Paul Spencer. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
