Funeral services for James Raymond Du Bois, Sr., 75, of Holly Lake Ranch Community will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, at Holly Brook Baptist Church in the Holly Ranch Lake Community with Dr. Guy McGraw officiating. Interment will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Du Bois passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in a Tyler hospice. Mr. Du Bois was born June 3, 1937, in Bay Springs, Mississippi to Cornelius Benjamin and Christine Purvis Du Bois. He was a retired switchman for the Southern Pacific Railroad, a veteran of the United States Navy, had lived in the Holly Lake Community since 2002 and was a member of the Holly Brook Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Du Bois of Holly Lake Ranch; son, James Du Bois, Jr., of Holly Lake Ranch; daughter, Dana Ann Breaux of Canton; sister, Jeanie Ross of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren, James R. Du Bois, III, Shawn Du Bois, Ariele Du Bois, Amanda Breaux, Amber Breaux Park and Bobbi Sherie Breaux; three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Pallbearers will be James Simmons, Bill Fisher, Scott Lambert, Mark White, James R. Du Bois, III and Mike Love. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
