James Pryce Owens

James Pryce Owens, 71, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Gilmer. He was born on August 22, 1942, in Denver, Colorado, to James Pryce and Edna Owens. Mr. Owens served in the U. S. Navy and was a contractor for the U.S.P.S. He moved to the Gilmer area six months ago. Mr. Owens is survived by his sons, Sean Owens of Oregon, James Owens III of Nevada, Scott Owens of California; daughters, Danielle Boyle of Gilmer, Michelle Owens of Colorado, Eileen Romero of California and Jennifer Flores of California; 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James Owens; mother, Edna Owens White and Step-father, Randall White; son, Jason Owens; daughter, Debora Owens and granddaughter, Destiny Boyle. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer.
