James Leonard Sadler

Funeral services for James Leonard Sadler, 81, of Hawkins will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins with Pastor Mike Morrow officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Sadler passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 in a Tyler hospice. Mr. Sadler was born February 7, 1931 in Wichita Falls, TX, to Allen Daniel and Nona Iris Taylor Sadler. He was retired self-employed building contractor, a 32nd Scottish Rite, Shriner, member of the Knights Templar Commandery, Past Master Masonic Lodges of Hawkins and Big Sandy, Eastern Star, York Rite, and Lions Club of Hawkins. He is survived by his wife, Julia Sadler of Hawkins; sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel Sadler of Hawkins, David and Dayna Sadler of Mineola and Doyle Gene Sadler of Hawkins; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bucky Elkins of Hawkins; step-sons, Thomas W. Heathman of San Marcus and John Robert Heathman of Austin; grandchildren, Mitchell, Alicia, Alaina, Joshua, Chase, Bucky, Jr. and Eric; nine " great-grandchildren, one " great-great-grandchild; step-daughter, Sharon Lynn O"Brien of San Marcus; nine " step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years Myrl Dean Sadler died August 17, 1999. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2012 Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
