James Lee Musser

James Lee Musser of Gladewater, TX age 57, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, due to lung cancer complicated by severe covid.

Born December 5, 1963 in Dearborn, MI, James was the oldest of three children. James was born to Dennis Lee Musser and Linda Carol (Rose) Musser. James is preceded in death by his mother, Linda. James served six years in the Marine Corps; he started studying taekwondo early and earned his 2nd degree black belt. James often played piano and guitar for his family and later in life used his gift to play at church. After he was baptized, fully immersed in the Name of Jesus Christ according to Acts 2:38, James started living for the Lord. Growing and living for the Lord would be his greatest joy. James was a husband, father and grandfather; his daughters were one of his greatest joys as were his grands; they will remember him as “Big Poppa.”

He is survived by his wife Sandra (Nelms); his father, Dennis; his children Jessica (Nathan), Melissa (Andrew), and Angela; his grandchildren Elias, Alistair, and Fiona; his sister Jennifer (Mark); and brother Jason (Elizabeth).
