James Ervin Williamson

Graveside service for Mr. James Ervin Williamson, 89, of Longview will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at Soules Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Ron Peacock officiating, under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Williamson passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Longview.

James was born August 26, 1928, in Little Rock, AR to the late Clinton and Cecil (Green) Williamson and was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army. Mr. Williamson loved to work with wood and helped to establish Cassity Jones where he worked as a carpenter.

Mr. Williamson is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marie Jones of Longview; sons, James Michael Williamson of Sutherlin Oregon, Harold Jones and wife, Sandra of Longview, Jimmie Jones and wife, Nancy of Longview; daughters, Bridgett Morgan and husband Rayford of East Mountain, Katrina Love of Carthage, Deidre Williamson of East Mountain, Terry Owens of Tennessee, Ruth Maiden and husband, Art of Houston; 23 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and ex-wife Bobbie Williamson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX.
