James Edwin Hall

Services for James E. Hall will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, 3:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Bro. Wayne Norvell officiating.

Mr. Hall was born in Henderson, Texas on December 8, 1928 to G.S. (Schiffman) and Lorine Martin Hall and passed away on September 20, 2017 at the age of 88 years. He was of the Methodist faith.

He married the love of his life, Annie Louis Robinson on September 6, 1950, a marriage of 67 years. In addition to Annie, those left to morn his passing are three daughters, Cassie Nelson, Deborah Stanley and husband John Owen, and Dawn Moses (granddaughter) and husband Brent; two sisters, Peggy Hall Carpenter, Martha Hall Andrews and husband Robert; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Michael Hall. Mr. Hall served in the Navy, stationed in Guam. He was retired from Lone Star Steel and took over operations of Hall’s Grocery for 18 years.

Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral home in Gilmer from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017, prior to services.
