James Clifton "J.C." Giles

Graveside service for James Clifton "J.C." Giles, 79, of Hawkins will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas with Pastor Eric Coher officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Giles left this world on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his residence. J.C. was born March 17, 1937, in Dallas to Clifton Clarence and Thelma Joy Roberts Giles. He was a retired supervisor with Oncor (formerly Dallas Power and Light) for 37 years, a veteran of the Army National Guard and a member of the Baptist faith. J.C. loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Laurita Giles. J.C. is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Grey and husband, Phil, Cinder Coher and husband, Arden and Michelle Simmons and husband, Tanner; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Giles, Phil Grey, Arden Coher, Tanner Simmons, Pastor Eric Coher, James Cheshire and C.J. Sewell. Visitation will be from 10:45 a.m. to service time at the graveside in Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
