James Allen "Jim" Ford

Funeral services for James Allen "Jim" Ford, 78, of Hawkins will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins with Gervise Ray Ford officiating. Interment will be in the Little Mound Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Ford joined his Heavenly Father and Savior on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Mr. Ford was born on January 27, 1936, in Rutherford, TN to Fount and Wilma Ruth Needham Ford. He was retired from Halliburton, had lived in Hawkins for 20 years and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Patricia "Susie" Ford of Hawkins; sons, James Allen Ford, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA and Stevens Ray Ford of Long Beach, MS; daughters, Shari Lynne Harshbarger of Hawkins, Linda Ford Jones of Bossier City, LA and Edythe Ford Woodall of Flint; brother, Gervise Ray Ford of Dallas; nine grandchildren, Michael Harshbarger, Heather Ford, Ashley Ford, Geoffrey Jones, Tiffany Harshbarger, Stepheney Ford, Pepper Stowe, James Woodall, Jr. and Julianna Woodall; great-grandchildren, Hannah Brasuell and Caden Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill Ford, Jack Ford and Bob Ford; sister, Edythe Marie Wihizenant. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
