Jack Emory, 85, of Gilmer passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 in Longview, Texas. He was born in Puyallup, Washington on December 15, 1933.
He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, as well as a purchasing agent for Methodist Hospital, Dallas Times Herald, and Childrens Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was an active member of Church of Power in Gilmer for several years.
Jack married Betty Lou Baker in 1953 in Biloxi, Mississippi. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on July 24th.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; his sister, Jill Curtis and husband Dick; daughter, Gail Cook and husband David; son, Kevin and wife Jesica; son, Mark and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Liz Fitlow, Jason Cook, John Wilson, James Wilson, Ashleigh Wilson, Drew Emory, and Adam Emory; as well as several great grandchildren. Jack is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will take place at Church of Power, Gilmer, August 24th at 2:00 P.M.
