Jack David Morris

Funeral services for Jack David Morris, 83, of Longview will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Chaplain Kenneth Lake officiating. Mr. Morris passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, in Longview.

Jack was born January 3, 1938 in the Mings Chapel Community to the late Luther David Morris, Jr. and Georgia Cleo Sasser. He graduated from the McLeod High School in McLeod, TX in 1956. Jack joined the Texas National Guard in February of 1955 and would transfer to the Louisiana National Guard after relocating to Louisiana. He would receive an Honorable Discharge on July 11, 1963. Jack worked in the Oil Fields as a truck driver and mechanic. He retired from Associated Material Handling in 2004. Jack was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake, IL. He married Theresa C. Pawlik on July 22, 1961 and then would marry Phyllis Rae Favaro on September 29, 1992. Jack will not soon be forgotten by those he leaves behind.

Jack is survived by two sisters Rosa Morris of Longview and Judy Nolan and husband Frank of Longview; nieces Pamela Hudson of Dallas, Julie Bykowski of Haiku, Hawaii and Melissa Coleman and husband Nathan of Hallsville; great nieces Brittney Nolan Whitaker of Longview and Marissa Coleman of Hallsville; great nephew Nolan Coleman of Hallsville; great niece Paisley Whitaker of Longview; step children Diane Rogers and husband Terry and their three children of Nashville TN, Dennis Favaro and wife Kim and their four children of Crystal Lake IL, Lori Broshar and husband John and their three children of St. Charles, IL and Marc Favaro and wife Cheryl and their five children of Colorado as well as many other loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two wives Theresa Pawlik Morris and Phyllis Favaor Morris.
