Jace Bradley Adkinson, age 24, of Gladewater, TX was welcomed home unexpectedly into the kingdom of Heaven. Jace was raised by proud parents, Amber and Leslie Lyons, born October 12, 2000 in Longview, TX to James "Ricky" Adkinson and Amber and Leslie Lyons. He was a graduate of Gladewater ISD.
At the young age of 11 we knew he was something special when he was recognized by Dukes University for gifted and talented children. He was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Gladewater High School in 2019 with honors. All his life he exceeded everyone's expectations, and there are no words we could put together to describe how proud we are of him as a son, brother, uncle, friend, and as Austin would put it, "one hell of a hand!"
He also had an amazing and twisted sense of humor, he always wanted to make people around him laugh. If you knew Jace, you'd know he was the biggest sore loser and would win by any means....IF YA AINT FIRST, YOU'RE LAST! He was an all around athlete and excelled at everything he attempted in life. If Love could've saved him he would've lived forever as he was loved by all who knew him.
Jace is preceded in death by his father Rickey Adkinson; grandma Rhonda Walker, grandma Diana, papaw Milton, mamaw and papaw Files, Aunt Peggy, and our beloved Mawmaw. Jace is survived by his mom and dad, Amber and Leslie Lyons; brothers, Chris and wife Felicia Adkinson, Lee and his wife Raven Lyons, Cory, Austin and wife Caci Murchison, and Loftin Murchison; sister Laci and her husband Matt Pepper, and sister Alexa; alongside many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as Willie Murchison and his Nino Family!
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Croley Funeral Home, Gladewater, TX on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 3 in the afternoon. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 2 to 3 in the afternoon just prior to the service.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2
Never stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. The will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:30-31
