Services for Irene Evelyn Nelson, 92, of Ore City, will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 14, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Ore City with Rev. Doug Smith and Rev. David Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Coffeeville Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson passed away on Saturday, October 12, in Longview. Irene was born May 10, 1921, in Cheltenham, England to Laurence H. and Elsie E. Ballinger. She was a homemaker and served at the church as a Sunday School teacher and Kindergarten teacher. She is survived by a son: Bill Nelson; Daughter and husband, Anita and Tommy Ferguson; grandchildren and spouses: Wes Ferguson, Jennifer and Thomas Watson, Alison and Doyle Campbell, Alishia Ferguson; great grandchildren: Ryan and wife, Megan Campbell, Dillon Campbell, Callee Campbell, Connor Watson; and a great-great grandchild: Kinlee Campbell. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, from 6 to 8 PM at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
