Ila Ramey Penton Gladewater " Services for Ila Ramey Penton, 88, of McKinney and formerly of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 10 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Welton Jones officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. Born on January 11, 1922, in Gilmer, Texas, she entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Gladewater First Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 sons, Jack Guthrie of White Oak; Roy Guthrie of Allen; Pat Penton of Las Vegas, Nevada; 2 daughters, Martha Peterson of McKinney and Myrtis Gravois of Bartlett, TN; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters; 2 brothers, Pete Ramey of St. Louis, MO and Ed Ramey of Poth, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.A. and Olive Ramey; husband, Myrel Penton; daughter, Margie Cannon; 2 sisters, Evelyn Lee and Sandra Kay Ramey; and 1 brother, Dean Ramey. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, December 17, 2010, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
