Ila 'Faye' Turner

Ila "Faye" Turner Gladewater -- Services for Ila "Faye" Turner, 88, of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 3 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Turner Cemetery in Wood County. Born on June 23, 1923, in the Zephyr Community in Brown County, Texas, to Arthur and Jewell Chism, she entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 2, 2012. She was a graduate of Zephyr High School and attended business college. On July 3, 1948, she married J.D. Turner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gladewater First Baptist Church, She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Karen Turner of Tyler; 4 grandchildren, Lacey Turner, Lindsay Gasper, Kyle Turner, Christin Turner; 3 brothers, Odell Chism of Terrell; Don Chism of Plano; Billy Chism of Brownwood; and 2 great-grandchildren, Michael Turner and Peyton Gasper; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Turner on June 2, 1992; son, Mike Turner; brother, Harrell Chism; and sister, Mattie Wardlow. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
