Ida Frances Brimer

Ida Frances Brimer, born in Blue Ridge, Texas, on December 22, 1932, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. Daughter of George and Esther Kerby, Frances was a beloved member of her community. After a fulfilling career as a personnel director in a hospital lasting over two decades, Frances retired to enjoy the simpler pleasures of life.

Frances found joy in every corner of her world. She was an active member of the Garden Club, where her passion for gardening blossomed. Her Sundays were spent in the embrace of her faith community at Clarksville City Baptist Church, where she found solace and friendship.

Among her cherished pastimes was the time Frances spent at Caddo Lake with her family at her cabin, a place that held a special spot in her heart. In her later years Frances enjoyed visits from her family to play dominoes and 42. Whether tending to her flowers, being a dedicated member of the Sunshine Class at church, or spending time with family, Frances’s spirit radiated warmth to all those around her.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Diane Malone and husband Larry of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Larry Dean Malone of Lufkin, Texas, Cary Gene Malone and wife Elaine of Jasper, Texas, Mark Jackson and wife Kelli of Gladewater, Texas and LeAnne Jackson of Chapel Hill, Texas; great-grandchildren, Keara Malone, Laurel Malone and Adrian Mumphrey; step-grandchildren, Raegan, Rhenley and Remi; her brother, Mason Kerby Jr. and wife Joyce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, George and Esther Kerby; beloved husband R. G. Brimer and daughter, Donna Kay Ramsey.

A graveside service will be held to celebrate Ida's life and the impact she had on those lucky enough to have known her on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 1 in the afternoon at Dunbar Cemetery in Emory, Texas. Today and always, we carry the memories of her laughter, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Rest in peace, Ida Frances Brimer.
