Funeral service for Mrs. Hughlene Huggins, 100, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Mrs. Huggins passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Tyler. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January, 17, 2015 from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M at Croley Funeral Home. She was born May 15, 1914, in Camp County, Texas, to William Arthur Cope and Margaret Elizabeth Fowler Cope. Mrs. Huggins was a homemaker and a member of Union Ridge United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Dora Huggins of Garland, Bill and Phyllis Huggins of Tomball; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and John Cross of Tyler; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Huggins was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay Huggins in 2002; sisters, Oleta Davis and Elizabeth Fullen; niece, Glenda Bynum and great nephew, Chris White. Pallbearers will be Derek Huggins, Matt Stokes, Michael Yocom, Dustin Cross, Matt Huggins, Troy Huggins, Chad Reed and Larry Hightower. Honorary Pallbearers will be the great grandsons. The family would like to thank the caregivers who made it possible for her to continue the best quality of life she deserved; Patti Harris, Jaden Wright, Girling Health Caregivers through Community Based alternative and Hospice of East Texas.
