Services for Hubert L. Berry, 91, of Gladewater, Texas will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at West Mountain Cemetery. Born on November 6, 1924 on a little road called Wilkins Switch in Big Sandy, Texas has entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 18, 2016 and was reunited with his beloved "honey", his wife, Elizabeth. He was raised in Quitman, Texas by his parents Frank and Fleetie Berry. Mr. Berry was an extraordinary son, father, grandfather and friend to everyone. Bowling was one thing he loved, along with being the best mechanic he could be. He was a very hard worker and loved his family dearly. He loved telling all his war stories. Mr. Berry was an Army Air Force Veteran serving in WWII. He was known as Daddy, Papa and Pepaw to those he loved best. He especially loved to spend time with family and friends. He is survived by his children; Laura Irby and Theresa Gothard of Gladewater; Richard Berry of Longview; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Berry; son, Claude Cawthon Jr.; mother, Fleetie Berry and father, Frank Berry. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
