Homer Phillip Knight

Phillip Knight, 75, passed away on September 8, 2022 in Gilmer, Texas. Phillip was born in Gilmer, Texas to Homer and Mamie Knight.

Phillip was known for his friendly nature, he never met a stranger. He was kind and caring to everyone he crossed paths with. Phillip took pride in his yard and enjoyed maintaining it. He took pleasure in grilling out and cooking for his family and friends. Phillip enjoyed caring for his dog Bentley who precedes him death. When not at home Phillip could be found traveling and dancing with his wife Ruby.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Ruby Knight; daughters, Jessica Walker and husband Clay and Kristel Grant; son Andy Franklin and wife Robin; sisters, Saundra Edwards and Lajuana Sampson and husband Sam; grandchildren, Clay, Madelyn, Tyler, Elizabeth, Morgan, Lexi, Sophie and Jacob; great-grandchild, Leighton.

Phillip is preceded in death by his father, Homer Knight; mother, Mamie Green Knight.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
