Hilton Joycel Davis

GILMER – Services for Hilton Davis, 90, of Longview will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 1700 Blueridge Parkway in Longview. With Bishop Charles Schroeder conducting. Burial will be at the Kelsey Cemetery in the Kelsey Community. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Hilton passed into the Spirit World on June 2, 2017 at home with his children present, he was under Hospice care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Della “Fullen” and James Davis; wife, Dene Davis; brother, Carrol Davis; two sisters, Dene Stracener and Iota Bates; daughter, Shawna Davis; granddaughter, Tamira Zimmerman.

He is survived by his one son, Delton Davis of Tyler, two daughters, Joycelyn and Randy Ward of Longview, Tammy and Mike Zimmerman of Port Neches. Nine grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Shawna and Landon Ward, Zac, Aaron, Makinzie, Cassidie and Jacob Zimmerman. Twelve great-grandchildren, Lillian, Elizabeth, Anna, Joseph, Samuel, Caden, Kailey, Jason, Ryan and Brittany Ward, Kinzington and Bailey Zimmerman. One brother-in-law, Sonny Duncan “95” of Talco.

The family will receive visitors and friends on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
