Herman Harold Jones

Our beloved Paw, father, brother, uncle & friend, Staff Sergeant Herman Harold Jones, 79, passed away on February 6, 2021.

Hal was a 24 year veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Vietnam War. He was born on August 31, 1941 in Dialville, Texas to Herman and Naomi Jones. In 1959, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving all over the world, and retiring in 1983 at Lackland AFB in Texas. It was at Kelley AFB that Hal continued his career in non-appropriated funds division within the civilian service. He ran the Marble Falls and Laguna Shores recreation facility for NAF. During this time he learned to sail, spent many hours fishing and playing golf. He drove freight around the country so he could pay the bills but as always had a need to move around and see new things.

Hal will be dearly missed by his Wife Linda Beall Jones and his children, Diana Lynn Stegall, David Wayne Jones Donna Montgomery, James Beall, Johnny Beall, and many of his grandchildren and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews; and friends.

It was his last request to be cremated and spread at his favorite fishing spot Martin Creek Lake State Park by his family and friends.

The fish fry and domino tournament will be the best and we all wish he could be here to attend.
