Henry Howard Stevens

Henry H. Stevens, 87, of Gilmer, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at home in Gilmer.

Henry was born May 1, 1935, in Burlington, Massachusetts, to Henry and Julia Dohrety Stevens. He proudly served his country in the US Marines during Korea, Vietnam and the Cuban Conflict until his retirement from service after 20 years. He later continued working for Gilmer ISD for another fifteen years. Henry enjoyed his family and grandchildren and liked working around others at the school.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Mark Stevens, Brenda Stevens, Rhonda Barrow; one brother and six sisters.

Henry is survived by his wife, Norma Stevens; a daughter, Sharon Kinney and husband, Craig; a son, Bo Barrow; a sister, Margie Fitz; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
