Helen Marie Sims

A celebration of the life of Helen Marie Sims, 54, of Pritchett, will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Gladewater First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dean Hanssen officiating. Helen passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Longview, Texas.
Helen was born March 28, 1960, in Gladewater, Texas to Dan and Virginia Gwinn She married John Sims in White Oak, Texas on March 23, 1991. Helen was the Charge Nurse for the Neonatal Unit of Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas where she served for 29 years. She also volunteered for the March of Dimes. Helen was a Methodist.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents Dan and Virginia Lee (Cuver) Gwinn.
Surviving Helen is her loving husband, John Sims of Big Sandy, Texas; sons: John R. Sims of Kilgore and Jason F. Sims and wife Molly of Longview, Texas; daughters: Kelcie R Brooks and husband Colby of Gladewater and Kaycie M. Sims and Fiance David Lopez of Nacodoches, Texas; brother: Jeff Gwinn and Tammy of Whitesboro, Texas; sisters: Babetta Aziz of Axtell, Texas and Danna Turner of Pritchett, Texas. Helen is also survived by a grandchild, Kida Sims and was expecting the arrival of another grandbaby, Isaac Sims-Lopez due May 21, 2014
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the March of Dimes.
