Hazel Shaw

Hazel Shaw, 82,of Diana,  passed away on December 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving daughters, family and friends. She is now in the arms of her heavenly father, at peace and surrounded by those that went before her.  
 
Hazel Shaw was born on September 18, 1941 in Carlton, TX, to Willie (W. C.) Cassady and Janie Squires Cassady.
 
Hazel was best known for her love of family, her care givers, hummingbirds, Mexican food, oh how she loved her Mexican food, and especially when she was spending time with her family and her friends. Hazel was an Angel on earth. She always had a smile on her face and she always found the good in everyone. If you knew Hazel, you could not help but love her and her beautiful smile and amazing hugs.  The way she made you feel, even if you were in a room with forty other people, when she was visiting with you, it was as if no one else was in the room.   

Hazel is survived by her daughters; Beverly Chisnall and Pam Crisler (Gregg), and step daughter Linda Strong, as well as thirteen grandchildren, Twenty-two great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.  Hazel is also survived by her brother Sam Cassady and sisters; Mildred Gillian and Laura Corene Jump.
 
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Janie Cassady. Hazel was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis "Bob" Shaw. Also preceding her in death were 
 stepson Daryl Strong, her brothers: George Cassady ,Everett Cassady, Foy Cassady, Johnny Cassady and sisters: Edith Williams, Eva Nell Drost, Joy Brown, Wanda Srader 

The family would like to give special thanks to her Caregiver Melissa Wilson, as well as Traditions Home-health and Hospice staff and Dr. Frase and staff at Texas Oncology for all of their loving care and devotion to Mrs. Hazel Shaw.  

The service for Mrs. Hazel Shaw will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1:00 P. M.  at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Diana.
 
Visitation will be  Thursday, December 7, 2023,  from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at Croley Funeral Home in Diana.
 
Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery, Diana, Texas .
