Hazel J. Painter

Graveside services for Hazel J. Painter, 75, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, April 6, 2017 with Larry W. Osborne officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mrs. Painter was born on July 29, 1941 in Clark, Texas to James Alvie Johnson and Minnie Ola Cain Johnson. She passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in Longview. Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and a member of Ware Acres Baptist Church in Longview.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amanda Painter; son, Stephen Painter; brother, Travis Johnson and sisters, Wilma McQueen and Minnie Dora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Minnie Johnson and her husband, Larry B. Painter.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until noon at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
