Harry Gene Ballard

Celebration of life services for Harry Gene Ballard, 74, of Gladewater will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Mr. Johnny Smith officiating. Mr. Ballard passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Gladewater.

Mr. Ballard was born March 4, 1942 in Houston to the late Harold and Ima Gene Ballard. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Ballard was retired from Raytheon where he worked as a Welding Supervisor. Harry’s work as a Welding Supervisor for power plants took him to jobs in many states in the U.S. as well as to several foreign countries. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who leaves behind many loving family and friends to cherish his memory.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Jamie Ballard of Gladewater; two daughters Teri Arruda of Long Beach, CA and Debbie Allen and husband Robert of Gladewater; sister Jo Sparks of Longview; four grandchildren Logan Bishop and wife Amanda, Jordan Bishop, Manny Arruda and wife Aimee and Russell Allen and wife Katy; six great grandchildren Jordyn Bishop, Ariel Arruda, Alana Dacus, Hannah Dacus, Gary Dacus and Trenton Allen as well as many other loving family and friends.
