Guy Donald Carter

Guy Donald Carter, 85, of Gilmer passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born on
Mr. Carter worked as a warehouse supervisor for Sylvania Electrical Company for many years, and he was a member of Simpsonville Baptist Church. Guy loved to work in his yard, fishing, camping, and watching westerns. He also loved to collect coins, guns, and spend time with his family that will greatly miss him.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha Carter; daughter, Donna Carter Wells; sisters, Deloras Williams and Janice Goodson; grandchildren, Sunnie Grindele, Meghan Seifert, Alexis and Avery Carter; and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Neil, Alton, and Paul Carter; sister, Sandra Money; and granddaughter, Taylor Roberts Auld.
Funeral service for Mr. Carter will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Rev. Richard Wells officiating, interment to follow at Perryville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
