Gregory "Greg" Martin Bowers

Mr. Gregory “Greg” Martin Bowers, age 61, of Big Sandy, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Greg was born on January 2, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, to Jerome “Jerry” Bowers and Sharon (Kurtz) Bowers.

Greg graduated from McHenry High West in McHenry, Illinois, was a self-employed painting contractor, and devoted member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church of Gladewater. He married Betty (Bragg) Bowers on September 22, 1985 in Big Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Bowers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Bowers of Big Sandy; his father, Jerome “Jerry” Bowers of Homosassa Springs, FL.; sons, Kevin Bowers, and Nelson Bowers both of Carrollton, TX.; daughters, Rachel Harrison and husband Milo of Columbus, GA., Sharon Bowers, and Autumn Bowers both of Big Sandy; brother, Kris Bowers and wife Mary of Hot Springs, SD.; sisters, Corinne Bowers of Homosassa Springs, FL., Karen Bauer of Walton, KY., one niece and two nephews.

A funeral mass for Greg will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Gladewater, Father Mark Dunne officiating
