Grady Odell Applegate

Funeral service for Grady Odell Applegate, 75, of Gladewater will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Bro. Wayne McKay officiating. Interment will be in Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater. Mr. Applegate passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Applegate was born October 20, 1939 in Longview, to Edward and Nellie Pitts Applegate. He was a retired welder and member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Pat Applegate of Gladewater; son, Vernon Applegate of White Oak; daughter, Judy Van Houton of Gladewater; brother, Don Applegate of Boyd, TX and Ben Applegate of Hawkins; three grandchildren, Brian Van Houton, Wyatt Applegate and Holly Van Houton. He was known to his grandchildren as "Grumps". Mr. Applegate is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimberly Applegate Brown; brothers, Edward Arvel Applegate and Billy Ray Applegate. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
