Graveside services for Mrs. Grace White will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Grace White, 89, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2014, in the Bel Aire Assisted Living facility in American Fork, Utah. Grace was born August 22, 1924 in Pritchett, Texas to Emery T. Arrington and Anna Lou Odom. She was the 9th of 11 children. She attended school in Pritchett and graduated from Gladewater High School in 1942. During World War II, Grace worked at a bomb-making factory in Dallas, Texas and the Naval Shipyards in Beaumont, Texas. She married her childhood sweetheart, Charles Daniel White, on July 13, 1946, in Gilmer, Texas. After their marriage, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they raised their family. In 1988, they returned to Pritchett where they built a beautiful log home and lived there for 17 years. Grace enjoyed traveling with her husband and many friends. She also enjoyed gardening and Family History work. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many Church auxiliary organizations. She was also a temple worker in the Dallas Temple. Grace is survived by her 3 children, Barbara (Marshall) Pollard, Orem, Utah; Danny (Jan) White, West Valley City, Utah; and Linda (Jay) Gneiting, Aberdeen, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Arrington, Fort Worth, Texas; and Billie (Jack) White Miller, Zionsville, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
