Grace Lindsey

Services for Mrs. Grace Lindsey, 93, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Friday, March 25, 2011 at Gilmer Church of Christ with Jeff Procter officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Lindsey passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Longview. She was born August 10, 1917, in Gober, Texas to William Walter and Elen Hansen Bowers. Mrs. Lindsey was a teacher before her retirement. She was a member of Gilmer Church of Christ, Tuesday Morning Bible Study, the Pritchett Quilters Club, and a Pink Ladies Volunteer. Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Collier of Katy and Jacque Lindsey of Pittsburg; sister, Videll Lewis of Athens, Texas; grandson, William Collier; great grandchildren, Chris and Emily Collier Pallbearers will be Christopher Collier, Dr. Clint Owens, Eddie Coleman, John Crossland, Danny Weems and Frank Dupree. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death her husband Jack Lindsey in 2005. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
