Grace Allyene Rose Angel Gladewater " Services for Grace Allyene Rose Angel will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the First Baptist Church Gladewater at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Steve Ditmore and Reverend Bailey Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Friendship Cemetery. Born on November 24, 1920 at home in the Joy Community, she entered into eternal rest on October 19, 2011. She graduated from Sabine High School and in 1938 married William Harold Rose. Together they raised three daughters and were happily married for 49 years before his death in 1988. In 1993 she married Harold Angel and they shared 15 years before his death in 2008. She was employed by Bloom-McKenzie Clinic for several years and later served as cafeteria supervisor for Broadway Elementary and then Gladewater High School. After retirement, she re-entered the workforce as a residential Realtor. Allyene was always active with friends, family and grandchildren. She eagerly opened her home to all and began playing golf after retirement. Her last few years were enhanced by the loving care she received from the caregivers at Buckner Westminster Place. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Gladewater and a member of Cherokee Trace Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by 2 daughters and 3 sons-in-laws; Ron Shore of Longview; Elane and Jay Osteen of McAllen; Kathy and Jerry Branum of Dallas; 7 grandchildren; Stephen Shore, Michael Shore, Kenneth Shore, Clint Osteen, Bryan Osteen, Kelly Branum, Kinsey Powell; their spouses and 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Bittie Gatlin; daughter, Grace Ann Shore; twin sister, Mary Pauline Smith; brother, Claude Elwyn Gatlin. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. If so desired, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1444, Gladewater, Texas 75647 or Buckner Westminster Place, 2201 Horseshoe Lane, Longview, Texas 75605. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. on Monday, October 24, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
