Gordon Russell Bales

DIANA: Memorial services for Gordon Russell Bales, 63, of Ore City will be at 6:00 P.M., Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at his residence.

Gordon was born on February 27, 1955 in Plainview, Texas to Elmer R. and Dona Sue Bales. He had retired recently after working as a butcher at Newsom’s Grocery in Ore City. He was a member of Simmons Hill Baptist Church in Diana.

Gordon is survived by his mother: Dona Sue Francis, daughters: Brianne Bales and husband Buddy Cribbs, and Jenna Stewart and husband Jeremy, brother: Walter Bales and wife Judy, grandchildren; Makayla Cribbs, Alexi Cribbs, Gabriel Stewart and Thomas Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Russell Bales. .
