Gordon Lee Harper

Gordon Lee Harper, 37, of Longview, Texas, was born on March 1, 1983 in Corpus Christi, TX to Jeff and Carolyn Harper but was raised by Terry Gage and Carolyn Harper. Gordon is a 2001 graduate of Big Sandy High School in Big Sandy, Texas. He was a self-employed DJ who lived life to the fullest. Gordon loved to spend time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by many. He was a big teddy bear who always gave the best hugs.
Gordon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bobby Lee Gage and Bucky Vannoy; and brother-in-law, Robert Warlick. He is survived by his mother and father, Carolyn Harper and Terry Gage; biological father, Jeff Harper; grandmothers, Doris Gage and Jeannie Richard and husband, Larry; sister, Rena Cunningham, and husband, Trent; Aunts and Uncles; Shirley McConnaughhay, Rose and Mike Sperier, James Richard, and Mickey Gage; niece Rozlyn Warlick; and nephews, Colton Cunningham and Colby Gage.
Funeral service for Gordon will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Monday, July 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Bro Danny Trimble officiating, interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
