Glenn Ray Gilbreath, 63, of Hawkins passed away in Longview on Monday, May 1, 2023. Funeral services for Mr. Gilbreath will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 10:00 am at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins, TX with Bro. Ben Loftin officiating. Interment will follow the services at Rock Hill Cemetery in Wood County, TX. The family will receive family and friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Glenn was born on May 13, 1959, in Dallas, TX to the late John D. Gilbreath and Ruby Myrl (Whitworth) Gilbreath. He married Donna Baggett on October 20, 1990, in Dallas. Glen worked as a maintenance supervisor.
Glenn will be remembered for his sense of humor, making everyone laugh. He was known to his neighbors as the “go-to guy” for tools and help when needed. Glenn loved being outdoors, especially going fishing, or at least making plans to take fishing trips, even if they didn’t materialize. He had a collection of guitars and guitar accessories, which he never really learned to play, but enjoyed collecting them. Glenn has a soft spot in his heart for his dogs.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna; children, Connie and her husband Keith Barron, Debbie and her husband Bill Zawodniak, John Savaldsen and his significant other, Debi, Ricky and his wife, Gabby Sevaldsen; brother, Roger and his wife Dibbrell Gilbreath; stepbrother, Steve Norton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as ten nieces and nephews.
