Glenda McDonald Hardwick

Mrs. Glenda McDonald Hardwick, 76, of Big Sandy, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, June 25, 2021. Services for Mrs. Hardwick will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Interment will follow at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Glenda was born August 28, 1944, in Gilmer, Texas, to Herbert and Alma Gage Fitzgerald. She graduated from Big Sandy High School and got her associate degree then pursued her career in banking at First State Bank of Big Sandy. Glenda spent over 30 years in banking in Big Sandy serving in many capacities and as Senior Vice-President for Austin Bank. She married Billy Joe Hardwick on July 31, 2003.
Glenda was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Alma Fitzgerald; husband, Billy Joe Hardwick; sons, Christopher Owen McDonald and wife, Nikki, Mark Allen McDonald and wife, Sharon; brothers, Scott Fitzgerald and Joe Fitzgerald; sister, Carolyn Langford; grandchildren, Bailee Jo Miller, Christopher Colt McDonald, Cody Owen McDonald and five great grandchildren.
