Gladys Lee Strong

Graveside services for Mrs. Gladys Lee Strong, 72 of Gilmer, will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, January, 17, 2014, at Ashland Cemetery in Diana, Texas with Chaplain Keith Hague officiating under the direction of Croley funeral Home in Gilmer. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 12 until 1:30 at the funeral home. Gladys was born December 5, 1935, in Gilmer to Lois and Susie Ramsey Young and passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Gilmer. She married Donnie Stanley Strong in 1952 in Ore City, Texas and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Strong served in the U. S Army and was an LVN for ETMC. She is also preceded in death by her sons, Donnie and Donald Ray Stanley; daughter, Susie Lynn Strong; grandchild, Chris Hebert; great grandchildren, Olivia Johnna and William Henry McDowell. Mrs. Strong is survived by her grandchildren, Lisa McDowell and husband, Scott, Donny Stanley and wife, Jennifer, Michelle Hebert, Brian Hebert and wife, Lindsey; great grandchildren, Wyatt Hebert, Easton Stanley, Cody Stanley, Colt McDowell and Dylan Stanley.
