Gladewater -- Services for Geraldine Edge, 88, of Gladewater will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Entombment will be in the Rosewood Mausoleum with Chaplain David Reeder officiating. Born on September 21, 1926, in Panola County, Texas to Gilbert and Lila Thompson, she entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was a 1942 graduate of Carthage High School, and she received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas Baptist College in 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gladewater First Baptist Church She married Reverend Leroy Edge on August 2, 1940, in the Woods community and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1996. Together they ministered throughout Louisiana and Texas for fifty-five years. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Gilbert and Lynda Edge and Bruce and Judy Edge; one daughter and son-in-law, Gwynne and Mark Kirbo; five grandchildren, Gil Edge and wife, Amy; Andy Edge and wife, Lisa; Darryl Edge and wife, Somer; Jason Edge and wife, Sarah; Stephen Edge and wife, Janelle; ten great-grandchildren, Trey, Lauren, Nolan, Caroline, Kayla, Madison, Noah, Noel, Jamison, and Lillian; one great-great granddaughter, Emily; special niece, Jill Edge Ebarb; two nephews, Wayne Edge and David Edge; longtime special friend, Dr. Chester W. Studdard; and special grand puppy, Abby Kirbo. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and great-grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Online condolences may be left at croleyfhgwater.net
